IMO they cause too much unnecessary static and are too expensive for the end result. I don't believe you can run calls through the sync port on an iphone. The deck has bluetooth and if I used that then calls would come through the car speakers. The problem is that bluetooth isn't built in, it requires a USB dongle that would take up the back port on the head unit, so I use a separate handsfree unit for calls. Nope.
